His house stood in what is now the town Granby, Mass., as the following record evinces ‘Lieut. Nehemiah Dickinson homelot’ (bounded and described) - of the ‘seventh division of homelots commonly called East of ‘Cold Hill’ (Proprietors Book). “Nehemiah Dickinson 3rd. 1702-1776 of Hadley. Served under Capt. Charles Stevens in Fifth Indian War and was one of the company described in ‘Hoyt’s History of the Indian Wars’ as the brave little garrison who courageously defended the fort at Charleston. N. H. Apr. 1747”
