He left Hadley to settle in Hartford, Connecticut, because his father left to him all the housing and lands at Hartford, while his widowed mother and siblings received his father’s Hadley property. (The Probate of the Inventory of Mr. Samuel Moodie’s Estate from the Probate Records, Vol. 1, page 269 of Hampshire Co., Mass.)
®1435 ®408 As the eldest son, he administered his father's estate in 1690.
®1 He had nine children and died at Hartford, 1732.
®761 He left no will and his estate was disposed by mutual agreement between his wife and children.
