She provided music instruction at her home at the corner of Byrne and Liberty Streets. (Daily Express (Petersburg, Virginia) (Film 133) 11 September 1857, page 2, column 2.) She was single, age 2? and living with her parents in Petersburg, Virginia in 1860.
®2075 She was engaged nursing the sick soldiers in 1862.
®136 She lived with her parents until at least 1865.
®134 Her mother died in Petersburg in 1864, and in 1865, Dr. Beckwith and his daughters Cornelia and Nancy went to live with his daughter Katherine Spaulding, at Riverdale (now The Bronx), New York.
®134 ®2074 On 1 June 1880 Nancy C. Beckwith was 25, single and lived with her sister Cornelia at the home of her sister Kate Spalding in New York City.
