DESCRIPTION:
This graveyard is on a hill overlooking Powell’s Creek, located in the edge of
an oak forest. It is a beautiful spot nestled closely under the branches of an
oak tree, whose trunk measures six feet and four inches in diameter. The
grounds are nicely cleaned and enclosed with a barbwire fence. There are eight
tombstones and several sunken spots which indicate there were other graves.
