Misc. Notes
She died at age 58.
®1891 She was the oldest child to live. They were married in her father’s home the same time on 8 April 1818 as John Bones and Maria F. Eve. There were three sons, two of whom survived their mother, and are physicians. Mary R. [Eve] Campbell, a lady of fine intellectural endowments and high culture, was the only daughter of Joseph Eve, a name once familiar as connected with the early history of the cotton gin. " Mary and I were constantly together, learning poetry, reading romances and roaming through the woods. She married Mr. Campbell's brother James, when very young. They had taken a ride together to see a steamboat invented by her father, with many others, and when they returned to dinner, they were engaged. They were marred on the same night with Sister Maria, who became engaged to Mr. Bones, on the same occasion. Cousin Mary had three sons, two of whom survived her and her husband and are very eminent physicians. Drs Henry and Robert Campbell."
