John Wright was a resident of Coweta County, Georgia on 1 February 1837 when he sold Lots number 227 of the original 5th District of that county to Pryor Wright of Baldwin County. This indenture made this the first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred thirty seven between John Wright of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Pryor Wright of the County of Baldwin and state aforesaid of, the other part Whereforth that the said John Wright for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these present the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted, bargained, sold and delivered and by these presents doth sell and deliver unto the said Pryor Wright, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the county and state aforesaid and known and distinguished as lots Number two hundred and twenty seven in the original fifth district of said county Containing two hundred two and a half acres the same more or less together with all and singular the rights, m---bers, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Pryor Wright his heirs and assigns. And I the John Wright will warrant and forever defend the aforesaid land and premises free from the claim of myself, my heirs and assigns and from all other persons Claiming or in any use legally to claim unto him the said Pryor Wright his heirs and assigns in fee simple. On 1 June 1850 John Wright, a 74 year old farmer and his wife Susanna, 73, lived alone in Coweta County, Georgia. Both had been born in Virginia. ®4923

Is this the same John Wright and wife Susannah #7173? US Census of 1830 for Baldwin County there are two heads of households, John x. Wright 30-40 years old who had 2 males and 1 female under 5, 1 male and 1 female 5-10, and his wife was aged 20-30. (M19 R16 P28) and Prior Wright ( M19 R16 P42 ). Is this the correct John Wright? No.
