Ipswich Journal June 8, 1799
®1486“My Uncle, Robert Baker Moody, who died in 1799, always considered the Moody’s of Moulton as his Ancestors, & as such, in his will desired to be buried there: by which it seems to me probable that Edmund Moodye,
temp Hen. 8. was a branch of them, as the Register of that Church goes back as far as 1560, baptized George, son of Richard Mody.
Extract from the Bury Post 5 June 1799. On Wednesday last died, aged 61, Robert Baker Moody Esq. The last surviving resident of an ancient family, who formerly represented this Borough in Parliament, & on Monday, his remains were interned with his ancestors at Moulton.”
