Anna was bequeathed twenty dollars and one third of his household furniture at the age of 21 in the will of her father, Noah Moody, dated 19 Sep 1811.
®423 On 6 April 1813, Joseph Clark was appointed guardian of Anna and Betsey, who were over 14, and of Emerson, who was under 14.
®1154 Anna Moody became Samuel Kentfield’s second wife in 1832. In 1860, Anna Kentfield was living in Springfield, age 65 with only $50 in personal estate. George H.
Carter, 35, a carpenter, was the only other person living with her.
®1178 Samuel Kentfield apparently owned no land in either Hampshire or Hampden County after quitclaiming with his first wife on his seven-acre homestead in Northampton on 27 July 1824.

Samuel Kentfield and wife “Lorenda” had children born in Northampton 1811–1826 (Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620–1988, Northampton Vital Records, 193, image online at
Ancestry.com). “Lorinda” died 20 September 1831 aged 45 and was buried in the East Street Cemetery in Chicopee Falls (Stott, Vital Records of Springfield). One entry at
FindaGrave.com says Samuel died 26 June 1826 and was buried in the East Street Cemetery, but that date cannot be correct since he remarried in 1832.
