On 15 April 1910 Henry Ellickson, 34, lived with his family at 1029 4th Street North in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Henry was a cook in a restaurant and he and Esther had been married for 5 years. Esther was 25, Thelma E., 3, Harry, 2, and baby daughter 2 months old.

He was a hosiery salesman and lived with his wife Esther B., 35, and children Thelma I., 13, Harry E., 12, Florence E., 9, Vernon A., 7, and Elvera E., 3 years and 5 months old. Henry’s parents had both been born in Norway.
®9511 He was a patient at the St. Cloud, Minnesota Veteran’s Administration hospital during the summer of 1954, having spent since at least 1923 in and out of various mental institutions in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 224 pounds.

Because of her mother’s health, she was raised from 16 months of age by her aunt Karen Peterson in Wilmar, Minnesota until she was 17 years old; she then was reunited with her natural family which was living in Ashland, Wisconsin at that time.
®5404 On 1 April 1930 Esther Ellickson, 46 and divorced, lived in a house she owned worth $1500 at 1100 2nd Street, Ashland, Wisconsin. Her father had been born in Sweden and her mother in Norway. Three sons lived with her; Harry E., 22 and single, Vernon A., 17 and single and Robert D., 8.
