On 1 June 1880 Walter Boutin was a 12 year old who lived in Bayfield, Wisconsin with his father Duffy, his mother Olive, 23, and siblings Nettie, 10, Lafayette, 2, and Bynan E., 2 months.
®7374 Walter’s first wife was Emma Sexton. They had 4 girls and a boy. Emma died of cancer and when the children were old enough to be on their own, Walter moved to Bayfield.
®7552 In 1895 Walter and one white female lived in Bayfield, Wisconsin.
®7553On 1 June 1900 Walter, a 31 year old fisherman lived with Emma, 27, his wife of 9 years in a house he rented on Washington Avenue at the intersection of Second Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Living with him are their children Merton, 8, Irene, 5 and Abertlyn?, 2. Also living with them are his mother Ollive [sic] 49, his sister Grace M., 15 and brothers Arthur J., 17, and Lafayette, 22.
®7408 In October 1913 Walter Boutin lived in Bayfield when his father, Duffy was discharged from the U.S. National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Wood, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
®7494On 1 January 1920 Walter J. Boutin, a 51 year old widowed fisherman, rented in Ward 10 of Superior, Wisconsin with Doris J., 14, and Malichi F., 9. Walter J. had been born in Wisconsin, as had his mother.
®7554On 1 April 1930 Walter is a 61 year old fisherman, first married at age 22, who had just abandoned Emma, 45, born ca 1885 in Wisconsin, and their four girls. Both her parents were born in South Dakota.
®7552 Emma had first married at age 18, and their four daughters Lois, 7, Gene, 4 years and 4 months, Janet, 2 years and 7 months and Maxine (Wanda), 1, lived in a house they rented for $3 in the Town of Bayfield, Wisconsin. All four daughters and both Walter’s parents were born in Wisconsin.
®7555In 1935 he had lived in Duluth, Minnesota. He had a seventh grade education.
On 1 April 1940 Walter Boutin, 72, a widowed intermittent laborer on a water project, born in Wisconsin, lived in a house he owned worth $500 at 1020 Savage Road, Van Buren, Michigan with Marie Mc Intyre, 42. Marie was his divorced daughter and unemployed.
