He graduated from Bayfield High School in 1957. ®4872 He attended Superior State College, and Stout State College. He married Marilyn Yooung in 1963 and started work at ADM in Minneapolis. In 1965 he began his long career in the Piloy Plant at 3M in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They moved to Roberts, Wisconsin in 1970, and upon retirement in 1998 moved back to Bayfield. There he took over his father’s charter fishing business. In 1999 he resurrected the Nourse Sugarbush carry on his father and Uncle’s 50 year tradition of producing “the best syrup around”. His favority hours were spent in the Sugarbush. Dan was an avid sportsman, hunting deer, elk, and pheasants. Fishing was a way of life for him. He played and umpired for many 3M softball leagues, bowled, played golf, and deep sea fished. He was a member of the Lions Club and a Deacon and member of the choir at the Bayfield Presbyterian Church which his great grandfather founded. ®11490
