®4162“2. Alexandre MacKay (1775-1857), was born/baptized Catholic in the Basilique Notre-Dame de Quebec Church, on 28 May 1775 [15]. Alexander MacKay (Jr.), at 35 years of age, was married on 30 April 1810, in the Bonaventure Catholic Church [16] to 29 year old Rose LePage (1781-1826), the daughter of Jean-Baptiste-Michel LePage (1746-1826) and Rose Arsenault (1760-1847). Alexander MacKay (Jr.) and Rose LePage, along with their children, resided in New Carlisle, Quebec, Canada, on land inherited [17] from his father Alexander (William) MacKay (Sr.), who had petitioned the Crown in 1778, from Berthier (-sur-Mer), Quebec, Canada, for a Land Grant [18] in New Carlisle, Quebec, Canada, as a reward for his service to the Crown during the Seven Years War (1757-1763). Unfortunately, Alexander (William) MacKay (Sr.) died before ever having set foot in New Carlisle, Quebec, Canada. (Note: son/widower Alexander MacKay (Jr.) was also married a second time on 07 August 1827, to Anne Lane (1775-1845), widow of Hector Morrison (1748-1823), in New Carlisle, Quebec, Canada. There were no children from the union between Alexander MacKay (Jr.) and Anne Lane). Alexander MacKay (Jr.) died when he was 81 years old, on 14 March 1857, [19] and was buried with his first wife Rose LePage in the Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery, Bonaventure, Quebec, Canada.
