Her godfather was Narcisse Payant and her godmother was Philomene Brosseau.
®4320 On the 1901 census she is Purissima (or Purmime) McKay, age 3 months, and living with her parents in Saint-Isadore, Quebec. On the 1911 census she is Paricina Mackay, born in November 1901 and living with her father and his second wife, Maria, in Montreal, Quebec. No other person lives with them.
®6450 In 1913 she is living at the convent.
®6451 On 25 August 1918 her stepmother writes “Purissimo has started her studies to be a nurse and she loves it.”
“Purissima McKay looks exactly like my sister Gisele when she was younger. Purissima died when she was 98 years old, in 1998. She was married to Hector Goulet (born 24 January 1902 and he died on 18 November 1956). They had six (6) children. Five have already passed. The sixth one, which might still be alive, is Madeleine (Marguerite) Goulet, born/residing in Paroisee St-Jean-de-La-Croix, Montreal. Some contact definitely was maintained throughout the years because Purissima McKay visited Henri McCaie in Moncton, New Brunswick during the month of August of 1965. She had retired as a nurse, if I remember correctly, which makes sense because she would have been 65 years of age. Henri would have been around 77 years old. I spoke to her briefly. My grandfather made the point that her husband Hector (when alive) was distantly related to Robert Goulet the actor/singer. She was on her way back to Montreal by train. My grandfather had phoned her a taxi because his car was in for repairs. She invited us to go see her in Montreal saying there were few McKays left. She must have known she was the last one of her line. I never saw her again after that at my grandparents house.”
