Mary Norton (Wilmarth) Wing to Georgiana Bowditch, 20 October 1913

[From Mary Norton (Wilmarth) Wing in Boston, Massachusetts, to Georgiana Bowditch in Morganton, North Carolina. She says they're doing well, although her husband isn't very strong yet, and asks if she's heard from Laura Irby.

This letter was in an envelope addressed to "Miss Georgiana Bowditch, Morganton, N. Carolina," abd postmarked "Boston, Mass, 6 P, Oct 20, 1913, Brighton Station."]

Dear Miss Bowditch,

I do not know where you are. It is such a long time since we have heard from you, you may have left Morganton.

We are getting along quite well now. Mr. Wing1 has been very ill, but now is much better. It is several months or near a year since he was taken ill. He goes out very little and probably will go less as the cold winter comes. He is not strong yet.

It seems like such a long time since you were here. Have you heard from Laura Irby2 since you were here. Let us hear from you some time when you feel like writing. We have not been away this year. Let us hear how you are.

Love, M. N. Wing3
