     Siegle Russell Davis was born on 15 October 1908 (his World War II draft registration says 15 October 1907) in McDowell Co., North Carolina.1,3,4 He married Cora Lee Hall, daughter of William Andrew Hall and Mary Ella Bowditch, on 5 June 1932 in Celo, Yancey Co., North Carolina.2 He died on 20 September 1966 in Burnsville, Yancey Co., at age 57 from a heart attack.1 He was buried on 23 September 1966 at Carroway Cemetery in Celo.1
     He and his wife Cora are listed in the 1940 census, enumerated on 15 April, in South Toe Twp., Yancey Co., North Carolina.5 He was then working as a laborer for the W. P. A.5, and later that year, when he registered for the World War II draft on 16 October, he was working for the Bureau of Roads in Spruce Pine, Mitchell Co., North Carolina.4 He was also a merchant for many years in Yancey Co.6

     George Robert Byrd was born on 19 March 1923 in Harrell Twp., Mitchell Co., North Carolina.1 He married first Dessie Lingerfelt on 20 September 1954 in Burnsville, Yancey Co., North Carolina.3 He married second Cora Lee Hall, daughter of William Andrew Hall and Mary Ella Bowditch.2,4 He died on 29 November 2015 at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation in Spruce Pine, Mitchell Co., North Carolina, at age 92.2 He was buried on 3 December 2015 at Carroway Cemetery in Celo, Yancey Co., North Carolina.2
     His transcribed birth record lists him as George Robert Byrd, but his obituary gives his name as Robert George, and he went by Rob.2 He worked in the timber industry most of his life, and later as a custodian at South Toe Elementary School.2

     Georgia Gouge was born on 12 August 1915 in Celo, Yancey Co., North Carolina.3,2 She married George Dwine Hall, son of William Andrew Hall and Mary Ella Bowditch, on 4 February 1933 in Micaville, Yancey Co.1 She died on 18 February 2016 at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, Frederick Co., Maryland, at age 100.2 She was buried on 20 February 2016 at Resthaven Memorial Garden in Frederick, Frederick Co.2
     For the first 25 years of their marriage she and her husband George lived in Yancey Co., North Carolina, and they are listed there in Crabtree Twp. in the 1940 census.4 They moved to Frederick, Frederick Co., Maryland, in 1958.2
