Waldron, daughter of Raymond Carney Waldron and Leeta Mae Williamson, on 2 July 1944 in Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan (although a pamphlet distributed at her funeral says 23 August 1944, in Kalamazoo).1,4 They separated on 29 August 1948. On 7 September Vivian signed away her rights and interest in their property. They got back together on 8 October 1948, then separated again eight days later.5 They were divorced on 10 January 1949 in Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.6 He died on 19 September 1974 in Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan, at age 57.2,4,3 He was buried at Vicksburg Cemetery in Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.4
     After their marriage, he and his wife Vivian lived in Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.1,7,8 They moved to rural Vicksburg in 1952.4 He worked as a farmer and as a milkman.3

     He served as a private in the U. S. Army special services during World War II, enlisting on 26 March 1943.2,3,4 Except for a period of time in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan, he lived in the area of White Pigeon, St. Joseph Co., Michigan, most of his life.2 He worked as a self-employed home builder for 22 years, and for Platz Excavating as a heavy equipment operator for 10 years.      Dale Edward Smith was born on 11 December 1925 in Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.3 He married his childhood friend Pauline Irene Waldron, daughter of Raymond Carney Waldron and Leeta Mae Williamson, on 9 February 1946, in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan. (Pauline's obituary inexplicably says in Kansas City, probably an error.)4,2,5 He died from cancer on 15 May 1976 at age 50.3 He was buried on 18 May 1976 at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.3
     He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, enlisting on 11 September 1944, and was stationed in Japan at the end of the war. He was discharged on 30 October 1945.6,3 He lived in Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan, all his life2,7,8, where he worked for the Simpson-Lee Paper Co.3 He was a member of the Chapman Church of the Nazarene.3
     When their children were young, he and his wife Pauline spent two weeks each summer camping with a travel trailer, and visited most of the 50 states.5
