Lucy Gouge was born on 15 April 1911.1 She married Lawrence Edwin Davis, son of James Henderson Davis and Bertha Bowditch, about 1929.1,2 She died on 8 January 1930 in Bakersville Twp., Mitchell Co., North Carolina, at age 18 from lobor pneumonia, with premature labor as a contributing factor.1 She was buried at Gouge Cemetery in Mitchell Co., North Carolina.1
