     Howard Melville Price was born on 5 June 1913 in Dublin, Ohio.^1,2 He married first Ruth Louise Burlingham, daughter of Harry Lee Burlingham and Edna Brown, on 27 June 1938 in Franklin Co., Ohio.¹ They were divorced (filed by Howard) in June 1943.³ He married second Marjorie Ruth Ralston on 27 July 1946 in Franklin Co., Ohio.⁴ They were divorced (filed by Marjorie) about six months later, in January 1947.⁵ He and his previous wife Ruth reconciled in early 1947, and may have remarried.⁶ If so, they later divorced a second time, since Ruth was remarried by 1974.⁷ He died on 6 December 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii, at age 65.⁸
     He and his wife Ruth lived in Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio. In Columbus he worked primarily as an accountant, but was listed as a clerk in his 1938 marriage record and the 1941 city directory, and as a laborer in the 1949 city directory.⁹ In 1940 and in 1954 he was working for the Columbus Coated Fabrics Corp. in Columbus.^2,10
     He and Ruth may have moved together to Hawaii, sometime after 1954.¹¹

     Dortha May Burlingham was born on 21 August 1913 in Almena Twp., Van Buren Co., Michigan, and died the same day.^1,2 She was buried on 22 August 1913 in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan.¹

     Eva Marie Burlingham was born on 26 July 1915 in Michigan.^5,4,6 She married first Richard Elmer Carlson (license dated 10 May 1939), son of Frank Elmer Carlson and Ruth Mallam, in Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada.⁷ They apparently later divorced, since Eva was remarried before Richard's death.^8,9 She married second Joel Gilford Newbert, son of John M. Newbert and Emelyn J. Dickson.^8,10 She died on 14 February 1959 in San Jose, Santa Clara Co., California, at age 43 of uterine cancer.^8,5,4 She was buried on 18 February 1959 at Golden Gate National Cemetery (Sect. S, Grave 2991) in San Bruno, San Mateo Co., California.⁸
     She and her first husband Richard are listed in the 1940 and 1950 censuses at the El Cerrito Hotel Apts., 270 Turk St. in San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California.^6,11

     Richard Elmer Carlson was born on 16 January 1909 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.^4,5 He married Eva Marie Burlingham (license dated 10 May 1939), daughter of Harry Lee Burlingham and Edna Brown, in Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada.⁶ They apparently later divorced, since Eva was remarried before Richard's death.^7,5 He died on 20 August 1977 at the Veterans Home of California in Yountville, Napa Co., California, at age 68.^5,8 He was buried at Fruitland Township Cemetery in Whitehall, Muskegon Co., Michigan.^8,3
     His birth record lists his name as Ferdinand Elmer Richard Carlson, but all other records found online list him as Richard, Richard E., or Richard Elmer.⁴
     He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, enlisting on 11 December 1942 in San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California.⁹ He was a private first class with the 46th Depot Group, 8th Army Air Force⁸, and was discharged at the end of the war, on 18 October 1945.¹⁰
     He and his wife Eva are listed in the 1940 and 1950 censuses at the El Cerrito Hotel Apts., 270 Turk St. in San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California.^1,11 He was a motion picture projectionist.^12,1,11

     Fern Louise Swikert was born on 18 March 1915 in Trowbridge Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan.^2,4,5 She married Marion Franklin Rupert, son of Dewitt K. Rupert and Ellen May Neeson, on 22 June 1935 in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan.¹ She died on 9 February 1999 at Evergreen Manor in Springfield, Calhoun Co., Michigan, at age 83.^6,5 She was cremated, and buried on 13 March 1999 at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan.^5,4,7
     After their marriage she and her husband Marion lived with her parents at 453 West Orleans St. in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan, and were at the same address at the time of Marion's death in 1978.^8,9,10
     On 5 April 1974 she and Marion were involved in an accident along the Ohio Turnpike, about eight miles west of the Norwalk exit. Marion was driving their camper, and had pulled over to check a water leak. They were struck from behind by a car driven by Margaret E. Banahan, forcing the camper into a ditch. Marion was admitted to Bellevue Hospital in Bellevue, Ohio, in fair condition. Fern was treated and released, along with her uncle and aunt, Bill and Margery Swikert, who were traveling with them.¹¹
     She moved from Otsego to Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., Michigan, in 1989, probably to live with her son Frank and his wife Susan, who cared for her the last few years of her life.⁶
     She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Otsego, and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Otsego-Bradley Chapter No. 169.⁴
     She greatly enjoyed knitting, sometimes for 10-12 hours a day, and in 1994 donated 102 pairs of mittens she made to the Charitable Union in Battle Creek. She also knitted caps for infants in the Battle Creek Health System.¹²

     Marion Franklin Rupert was born on 21 April 1910 in Williams, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.³ He married Fern Louise Swikert, daughter of Elmer Glenn Swikert and Mabell Markillie, on 22 June 1935 in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan.¹ He died on 18 August 1978 in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan, at age 68.^4,5 He was cremated, and buried at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan.^6,4

     Olin Leon Swikert was born on 17 April 1922 in Allegan Co., Michigan.^4,1 He married Phyllis Jean Pettit, daughter of Grant Pettit and Emma C. Goldy, on 3 October 1942 in Elkhart Co., Indiana.⁴ They were divorced on 20 May 1944⁵, then remarried on 4 November 1944, again in Elkhart Co., Indiana.⁵ He died on 7 March 1993 at the Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, Riverside Co., California, at age 70 of complications from cancer.^6,7 He was cremated, and buried on 15 March 1993 at Riverside National Cemetery (Section 13a, Site 375) in Riverside, Riverside Co., California.^8,9
     In 1940 he was living with his parents in Concord Twp., Elkhart Co., Indiana, and working with the NYA (the National Youth Administration).^10,11 In June 1942, when he registered for the World War II draft, he was working for Ollie Roth, an auto dealer in Elkhart.¹²
     He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, enlisting on 11 September 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana.^9,13
     After the war he returned to Concord Twp., and is listed there with his wife Phyllis and their children in the 1950 census.¹⁴ He was then working as a cabinet maker for a house trailer manufacturer.¹⁴ He later moved to California, and was living in Tujunga, Los Angeles Co., in 1963.¹⁵ He soon afterward moved to Hemet, Riverside Co., California, where remained until his death in 1993.⁶
     He was a charter member of the Moose Lodge in Hemet, and worked as a supervisor at Bendix Corp. in Pasadena, Los Angeles Co., California, for 13 years. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and repairing bicycles.⁶

     Corabelle Lucille Swikert was born on 24 April 1923 in Trowbridge Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan.^5,4 She married Henry Clinton Montgomery II, son of Henry C. Montgomery and Lorene M. Pickard, on 12 September 1958 at Crenshaw Christian Church in Inglewood, Los Angeles Co., California.^6,7 She died on 1 January 2013 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky, at age 89.⁵ She was cremated, and a memorial service was held on 19 February 2013 at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Riverside Co., California.⁸ She was buried at Lebanon National Cemetery (Sect. 19, Site 52) in Lebanon, Marion Co., Kentucky.⁹
     She went by the nickname "Corky."⁵
     She graduated on 3 June 1943 from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Elkhart Co., Indiana.¹⁰ In 1940, while still in high school, she was doing office work with the NYA (the National Youth Administration)¹¹, and in 1950 she was working as a billing supervisor for a pharmaceutical company.¹² She later worked many years for Delta Airlines.⁵
     She and her husband Clint lived in Torrance, Los Angeles Co., California.^13,2 In 2004, after Clint's death, she was living in Flaherty, Meade Co., Kentucky,¹⁴, and at the time of her death was living in Bloomfield, Nelson Co., Kentucky.⁵
     She was a Mormon, active in the women's relief society, and a member of the Eastern Star and the Old Kentucky Homemakers Club.⁵

     Cleo Maxine Swikert was born on 22 July 1924 in Trowbridge Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan.^5,4 She married James Norman Kowski, son of William Kowski and Ella Fischer, on 16 September 1951 at Grace English Lutheran Church in Elkhart, Elkhart Co., Indiana.³ She died on 7 March 2014 in Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., Colorado, at age 89.⁵ She was cremated, and buried next to her husband at Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo, Jefferson Co., Wisconsin.⁶
     She and her husband Jim lived in Elkhart, Elkhart Co., Indiana, until 1963, when they moved to Hemet, Riverside Co., California. In June 1979 they moved to Bozeman, Gallatin Co., Montana. In 1995 they traveled frequently between Bozeman and Nampa, Canyon Co., Idaho, helping Cleo's brother Dale Swikert modify the former Carnation Milk Co. building in Nampa to manufacture cargo trailers for his new company, Interstate West, and later to help their daughter Sharon move there. By 1996 they were spending most of their time in Nampa, and in 1997 they sold their home in Bozeman and moved there permanently.⁶
     After her husband’s death in 2004 Cleo frequently visited her daughter Nancy and her husband Ed in Mount Vernon, Skagit Co., Washington, and later in Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., Colorado.⁶

     Duane Clark Swikert was born on 14 April 1927 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan.^2,5 He married Sheila Miriam Chapman on 27 March 1954 at St. Mary's church in Bury St. Edmonds, Suffolk, England. Their honeymoon was a trip to the southern counties, London, and the white cliffs of Dover. They later had a reception back home in Elkhart, Indiana, on 27 November 1954, at the YMCA on West Lexington Ave.^6,7,8 He died of cancer on 16 June 1992 at the Hemet Valley Health Care Center in Hemet, Riverside Co., California, at age 65.^5,2,9 He was cremated, and buried on 30 March 1993 at Riverside National Cemetery (Section 13a, Site 350) in Riverside, Riverside Co., California.^10,11
     He graduated from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Elkhart Co., Indiana⁶, then joined the U.S. Army Air Corps, enlisting on 1 December 1945, and was discharged on 11 June 1947. He re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on 29 December 1950, and served in both Korea and Vietnam.^10,12 He was stationed in England from 1951 to 1954⁶ with the rank of airman first class.⁶ He was stationed in Denver, Colorado, in 1963 as a master sergeant, and taught photography at Lowery Air Force Base.¹³ He left the service on 30 April 1971.¹²
     He moved to Hemet, Riverside Co., California, in 1970¹¹, where he worked as a repairman for Host Beauty Craft, a mobile home service company, from 1972 until his death in 1992.¹¹
     He enjoyed computers, electronics, and square dancing.¹¹
