William Tecumseh Sherman Thorndike was the son of Paul Thorndike (Georgiana Bowditch's cousin) and Rachel Ewing Sherman, born 16 January 1893 in Boston, Massachusetts. He married first Katherine P. Hunt on 9 October 1920 in Auburn, New York; they were later divorced. He married second Eleanor Hickey on 28 June 1938 in Maine, and died 10 October 1958.
Katherine P. Hunt was the daughter of Thomas Merrick Hunt and Helen Francis Benson, born about 1899 in New York.]
