• [S6] Communication from Jane Bowditch (Brecksville, Ohio) to Charles Towne.
  • [S393] Frederick T. Bowditch, The Bowditch Family of Salem, Massachusetts - North Carolina Branch 1524-1964 (Fairview Park, Ohio: privately printed, 1964). This is a family genealogy, and includes much original material by the author's mother Helen L. (Tryon) Bowditch about her early life, and some poems written by her. The genealogical material on the early Bowditch family is taken primarily from two sources: (1) "The Bowditch Family of Salem, Massachusetts", a booklet published in 1936 by the distinguished genealogist Harold Bowditch; and (2) "Bowditch Ancestors between the years 1639-1800", a typewritten document probably by Nathaniel Ingersoll Bowditch. Some additional information, mostly on related lines, came from information in an old trunk compiled by the author's aunt Georgiana Bowditch. Citations to this source list two sets of page numbers. The first corresponds to the original version, and the second corresponds to a PDF version created by scanning the original and converting to text using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software. In the original version there are two un-numbered pages following p. 18 that are referenced as pages 18A and 18B in citations. Also, in the original version pages 67-84 are actually un-numbered. In possession of Jane Bowditch, Brecksville, Ohio.
