Sarah Howton Forker: He still owns family land that was originally Lewis Howton's. It has been passed down from generation to generation. Lewis's son Henry donated a small amount to Lafayette Church where the bulk of my family is buried (my mother included). Lafayette Church and cemetery is a small country church across from my dad's farm.¹
