Benton Harbor, MI, USA, Mrs. Ida May Houghton. 69, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. Jack Collinson, of 846 Superior street, died at 1 a.m. Sunday in Mercy hospital. She had been seriously ill for the past month and hospitalized most of that time.
Mrs. Houghton was born Dec. 22, 1890, in Detroit, and had resided here with her daughter for the past 20 years.
Besides her daughter, survivors include a brother, Alfred Pomn, of Tuscumbia, Ala; two nieces, Mrs. A1 LaPave, of Grosse Pointe
Farms, Mich, and Mrs. Tom Gronback, of Milford, Mich; and a nephew, Jack Pomn, of Grosse Pointe, Mich. A grandson, Gerald, was killed in a plane crash while serving in the U.S. Air Force in Okinawa.
The body will be taken to the Oak Woods crematory, Chicago, today for cremation.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Florin funeral home, with Gerald Kra- ger, first reader of the Church of Christ Scientist, of which Mrs. Houghton was a member, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Crystal Springs cemetery.
