®7372 On 21 August 1862 Joseph C. Boutin enlisted as a Corporal in Company A, Wisconsin 27th Infantry Regiment at Kewaunee, Wisconsin. He was promoted to Full Sergeant and mustered out on 29 August 1865 with his service time of 3 years, 1 month and 8 Days.

®7457 On 1 June 1880 Joseph was a 43 year old fish packer born in Michigan who had moved to Fort Howard, Wisconsin, where he lived with his wife, Mary, 43, and children Lucy, 18, Louisa 13, Louis, 9, Alexander, 8, Albert, 5, and Freddie, 2.

On 1 June 1905 Joseph C. Boutin, a 66 year old fisherman lived in Bayfield, Wisconsin with his wife Mary, 66, and son Alex, 32.

Boutin is a 72 year old odd jobs laborer who lived in a house he owned in Bayfield, Wisconsin next to that of Frank Boutin, Sr. He lived with his wife of 52 years, Madeline, 71 and son Aleck Boutin, 38, and single who worked as a laborer. His father had been born in Michigan and mother in Wisconsin.
