On 1 June 1880 Edward Boutin, Sr., a 54 year old fisherman who was born in Canada lived in Bayfield, Wisconsin with his wife Charlott A., 42, Edward, Jr. 24, Theodore, 20, Clara, 17, Solomon, 15, Walter, 12, Stella, 10, Henry, 7 and Effa, 5. Minerva B., and Lydia Ann had left home.
®8035 On 1 June 1900 Edward Boutin, Sr., a 73 year old fisherman lived with his wife of 47 years, Sharlotte E., 61, in a house he rented on Second Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Living with them was their son Henry W., 27, his wife Christine, 24 and their children Allan C., 5, Alonzo J., 4, Glascow A., 2 and Carl H., 5 months. Edward, Sr., had emigrated in 1834.

On 2 August 1909 his surviving daughters were Mrs. S. Brown of Bayfield, Mrs. Easton of Muskegon, Michigan, Mrs. N. White of Hancock, Michigan, Mrs. Theodore Kintz of Duluth and Mrs. Hicks, of Duluth.
