He was born on 10 December 1869 at Ontario, Canada,1,3; or, in October 1869 at Ontario, Canada.4 Alternatively, he may have been born circa 1870 at Ontario, Canada, since he was age 21 in the 1891 census5; or, circa 1868 at Ontario, Canada, since he was age 13 in the 1881 census.2
James H. Sheridan was buried at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery, Thornbury, Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada.1
James H. Sheridan died in 1957.1
James Sheridan appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario in the household of his parents, Thomas and Ann Sheridan.2 James H. Sheridan and Margaret McLeod were Partners before 1882; according to their son George's marriage registration. Since there is no record of a marriage, I presume they were not married. James was later enumerated as single in census records.6
James H. Sheridan appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, enumerated 18 April 1891. James was described as a farmer and a Methodist. His widowed mother, Agnes Ann Sherdian (sic) and siblings: Isabella Sherdian (sic), Thomas Sherdian (sic), William Sherdian (sic), Sarah Jane Sherdian (sic) and Ester Sherdian (sic) , were included in the household.5
James Sheridan appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a farmer and Church of England. His mother, Ann Sheridan, and sisters, Sarrah Sheridan and Esther Sheridan, were included in his household.3
James H. Sheridan appeared in the 1911 Canadian Census of Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario in the household of his mother Anges (sic) A. Sheridan, listed as a farmer.4 James H. Sheridan, of Loree, was the informant on the death registration of his mother or step-mother, Agnes Ann Sheridan, who died on 5 January 1917.7
George Sheridan's parentage is problematic. According to the 1891 and 1901 censuses, he was listed as a son of John and Sarah Sheridan. In 1901, James Sheridan was enumerated as head of the preceding household lving with his mother and sisters.
On George's marriage registration, his parents were listed as James H. Sheridan and Margaret McLeod
I cannot locate a marriage record for James and Margaret.8

Margaret McLeod and James H. Sheridan were Partners before 1882; according to their son George's marriage registration. Since there is no record of a marriage, I presume they were not married. James was later enumerated as single in census records.1
I cannot locate a marriage record for James and Margaret.2
