DAUGHTER FILES COMPLAINT HERE
Sisters of Late Walter Renwick of Mason Court Named Defendants in Bill Filed With Circuit Clerk. — Jury Trial is Asked in Suit.
Mrs. Margaret Divine, daughter of the late Walter Renwick of Mason Court here, on Wednesday, by counsel, entered a complaint at law with Circuit Clerk George A. James in which she asks that deeded lot and home given his two sisters be returned to the estate of which she is adrninistratrix.
Mr. Renwick, who succumbed Oct. 18th shortly after drawing a warranty deed giving Mrs. Jennie Gordon and Mrs. Abbie Eigenschenck right to his property, left Mrs. Divine, she charges, as only heir at law and next in kin.
His daughter charges that his deed was signed over when he was ill and infirm and incompetent. He was 76 at death, the complaint sets forth and had been long ill. The plaintiff asks that the deed be set aside, that the sisters be restricted by order and injunction of the court from selling, mortgaging or otherwise encumbering the property in question, a lot and eight-room house on Mason Court near Loomis street and asks further that Almond Overlee, the occupant, be vacated.
The plaintiff, through her attorneys, asks trial of the complaint by jury.12

In Grandsire's 'Footsteps.
Two grandsons of Matt Belles and his wife Mary Renwick Belles and who have other relatives in Sycamore, are showing the "stuff' of which their sires were made, according to the following from a Clinton (Iowa) paper: Two sons of Policeman Henry Price are doing duty with other Clinton men in Brownsville. This is not so much in itself but it is family pride that the lads are ready for the fray in practically the same locality where Richard Price, their grandfather, fought in '45. The boys from Clinton are Walter and "Pat'' Price and word received from the former this morning bears the news that he [has] been promoted to the rank of first [ser]geant.
Note that damage to the lower right cornier of this article obscures parts of the last few lines. Contemporary articles in the Brownsville Herald speak of large multi-state National Guard training exercises being conducted in the area. (Rick Moffat, Jan 31, 2022.)12
