Barb Batkin
     After a lengthy illness, Barb Batkin of Bayfield died on July 23, 2004. She was two weeks short of her sixty-fifth birthday.
     Mrs. Batkin is survived by her husband of 42 years, Doug Batkin Sr; children Eunice and Gerry Bainbridge of Newmarket, Doug Batkin Jr. and his friend Monika of Clinton and Diane and Phil Birchall of London; grandchildren Jessie and Sydney Bainbridge, Josh, Jordan, Jaime and Jenna Batkin, and Eva Birchall; her father Arnold Beach of Zurich; siblings Vernon and Lucille Beach of Arizona, Dave and Helen Beach of Clinton, Christine Graham of Toronto and Ray and Dianne Beach of Goderich; sisters-in-law Irene and George Simpson of Hanover, Janet and Dave McCutcheon of Brussels; as well as many nieces and nephews.
     She was predeceased by her mother Jessie Beach, parents-in-law Lloyd and Isabel Batkin, brother John, sister Jane and daughter Sherry.néeA private family service will be held at the Clinton cemetery . Following that the family invites friends to join them in a celebration of Mrs. Batkin’s life at the Ontario Street United Church in Clinton on July 31 at 1 p.m.
     As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Leukemia Research Fund of Canada would be appreciated by the family.3
