After their marriage, Hope Lothrop and his wife Elizabeth settled in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.1 They later moved to Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, and then to Connecticut.1 He was named in his father's will, dated 9 October 1700 and proved on 9 Apr 1702, and was left his father's homestead.2 In 1726 he bought 150 acres in Tolland, Windham Co., Connecticut, from Daniel Eaton.1
