She was left with a grandmother when her parents moved to Sangamon Co., Illinois, in 1819, and joined them in 1822.1 She was living with her son David Duncan in Williamsville, Sangamon Co., Illinois, in 1876.1 She and her first husband Joseph had two known children, David C. (b 6 October 1833) and Solomon H. (b 6 June 1835, d 11 April 1860).3

He moved to Sangamon Co., Illinois, in 1826 or 1827.3 He fought in the Black Hawk War from 1831 to 1832.3 He was a traveling preacher in the Methodist Episcopal Church.3 He and Nancy had two known children, David C. (b 6 October 1833) and Solomon H. (b 6 June 1835, d 11 April 1860).3
