Flossie Foletta Hughes was born on 22 August 1900 in Crabtree Twp., Yancey Co., North Carolina.3,2 She married Earl John Hall, son of William Andrew Hall and Mary Ella Bowditch, on 20 November 1918 in Crabtree Twp.1 She died on 21 June 2007 at the Center of Aging in Erwin, Unicoi Co., Tennessee, at age 106.3 She was buried on 22 June 2007 at Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin.3
She and her husband Earl are listed in Crabtree Twp., Yancey Co., North Carolina, in the 1920 and 1930 censuses. In 1920 Earl's brother Mark, who was separated from his first wife Florence, was living with them.4,5 Not long after their daughter Darlene's birth in Yancey Co. in 1934, Flossie and Earl moved to Banner Hill, Unicoi Co., Tennessee, and they are listed there in the 1940 census. Their recently-married son Max and his wife Trula were then living with them.6
