King James III (of Scotland) was born on 10 July 1451 in Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of King James II (of Scotland) and Princess Maria (Mary) (of Guelders).1 King James III (of Scotland) married Margaret (?), daughter of King Christian I (of Denmark) and Queen Dorothea (of Denmark, Norway & Sweden), on 10 July 1469 in Holyrood, Midlothian, Scotland.2,1 King James III (of Scotland) died (assassinated) on 11 June 1488 in Sauchieburn, St.ninians, Stirlingshire, Scotland, at age 36.2 He was buried in 1488 in Cambuskennethaby, Stirling, Stirling, Scotland.2
He became King of Scotland in 1460 replacing King James II (of Scotland).1 James III's father King James II (of Scotland) died on 3 August 1460 at Roxburgh Castle, Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland.2 James III's mother Princess Maria (Mary) (of Guelders) died on 16 November 1463 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 King James III (of Scotland) became the father of King James IV (of Scotland) on 17 March 1473.2 King James III (of Scotland) became the father of Prince Son (of Scotland) about 1476.2 King James III (of Scotland) became the father of Prince James (of Scotland) in March 1476.2 King James III (of Scotland) became the father of Prince John (of Scotland) before July 1480.2 King James III (of Scotland) became a widower with the death of his wife, Margaret (?) on 14 July 1486 in Stirlingshire, Scotland, at age 30.2
