Edward Augustus (of Hanover) was born on 2 November 1767 in Buckingham, London, England.1 He was the son of King George III Hanover of England and Sophia Charlotte (of Mecklenburg-Strelitz).2 Edward Augustus (of Hanover) married Victoria Mary Louisa (of Saxe-Coburg), daughter of Francis Frederick (of Saxe-Coburg) and Augusta Carolina (?), on 11 July 1818 in England.1,2 Edward Augustus (of Hanover) died on 23 January 1820 in Sidmouth, Devon, England, at age 52.1,2 He was buried in Kent Mausoleum, Frogmore.1
Edward Augustus's mother Sophia Charlotte (of Mecklenburg-Strelitz) died on 17 November 1818 at Kew Palace, Kew.1 Edward Augustus (of Hanover) became the father of Queen Victoria Hanover of England on 24 May 1819.1,2
