Henry (of Battenburg) was born in 1858 in Battenberg, Germany.2 He was the son of Prince Alexander Ludwig Christian Georg (of Hesse) and Julia (of Battenberg).2 Henry (of Battenburg) married Beatrice Mary Victoria (of Saxe-Coburg), daughter of Prince Albert (of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha) and Queen Victoria Hanover of England, on 23 July 1885 in Isle Of Wight.2,1 Henry (of Battenburg) died in 1896.2
