Augusta (of Saxe-Weimar) was born in 1811 in Russia.1 She was the daughter of Charles Frederick (of Saxe-Weimar) and Maria Paulowna (of Russia).1 Augusta (of Saxe-Weimar) married Emperor Wilhelm I (Friedrich) Ludwig (of Germany), son of King Friedrich Wilhelm III (of Prussia) and Queen Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie (of Prussia), in 1829.1 Augusta (of Saxe-Weimar) died in 1890.1
She became the mother of Frederick III (of Germany) on 18 October 1831.1 Augusta (of Saxe-Weimar) became the mother of Louise (of Prussia) in 1838.1 Augusta's father Charles Frederick (of Saxe-Weimar) died in 1853.1 Augusta's son Frederick III (of Germany) was married to Victoria Adelaide Mary (of Saxe-Coburg) on 25 January 1858 in London, England.1 Augusta's mother Maria Paulowna (of Russia) died on 23 June 1859 in Belveder, Weimar, Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, Thuringia.1 Augusta (of Saxe-Weimar) became a widow with the death of her husband, Emperor Wilhelm I (Friedrich) Ludwig (of Germany) on 9 March 1888 in Berlin, Brandenburg, Prussia, at age 90.1 Augusta's son Frederick III (of Germany) died on 15 June 1888 in Neues Palais, Potsdam, Germany.1
