Sofia Palaiologina

Sofia Palaiologina was born between 1448 and 1451 of Morea, Peloponnisos, Greece.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Palaiologos and Eikaterina Asanina Zachariaina.¹ Sofia Palaiologina married Grand Duke Ivan III 'The Great' (of Moscow), son of Grand Duke Vasilij II(III) 'The Blind' (of Moscow) and Princess Mariya Yaroslavna (of Borovsk), on 12 November 1472 in Morea, Peloponnesus, Greece.¹ Sofia Palaiologina died on 7 April 1503.¹
Sofia's mother Eikaterina Asanina Zachariaina died on 26 August 1462 in Korfu, Ionioi Nisoi, Greece.¹ Sofia's father Thomas Palaiologos died on 12 May 1465 in Roma, Roma, Italy.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Princess Elena Ivanovna (of Moscow) on 19 May 1476.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Grand Duke Vasilij III (IV) (of Moscow) on 26 March 1479.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Duke Yurij Ivanovich (of Dmitrov) on 23 March 1480.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Duke Dmitrij Ivanovich (of Uglich) on 6 October 1481.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Princess Fedosiya Ivanovna (of Moscow) on 29 May 1485.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Duke Semen Ivanovich (of Kaluga) on 21 March 1487.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Duke Andrej Ivanovich (of Staritsa) about 4 August 1490.¹ Sofia Palaiologina became the mother of Princess Evdokiya Ivanovna (of Moscow) about 1492.¹ Sofia's daughter Princess Fedosiya Ivanovna (of Moscow) died on 19 February 1501.¹
