.1 She was the daughter of Prince Georg Wilhelm (of Hesse-Darmstadt) and Princess Luise (Marie Albertine) (of Leiningen-Dagsburg).1 Princess Luise Henriette Karoline (of Hesse-Darmstadt) was christened on 16 February 1761 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 She married Grand Duke Ludwig I (of Hesse), son of Landgrave Ludwig IX (of Hesse-Darmstadt) and Princess Karoline (Henriette Christine) (of Birkenfeld), in 1777 at Prinz Georg Palais, Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 Princess Luise Henriette Karoline (of Hesse-Darmstadt) died on 24 October 1829 at Schloss Zu Auerbach, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt, at age 68.1 She was buried on 29 October 1829 at Stadtkirche, Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1
