Countess Marie (of Cleves) was born on 19 September 1426 in De La Marck; Of Kleve-Marck, Rheinland, Prussia.1 She was the daughter of Adolfe (of Cleves) and Marie De Burgundy.1 Countess Marie (of Cleves) married Prince Charles Valois (of France), son of Prince Louis (of France) and Valentine Visconti, in 1440.1 Countess Marie (of Cleves) died on 23 August 1487 in Chauny, Picardie, France, at age 60.1 She was buried in Eglise St Cbelestin, Paris, France.1
She became the mother of Marie D' Orleans about 1457.1 Countess Marie (of Cleves) became the mother of King Louis XII (of France) on 27 June 1462.1 Countess Marie (of Cleves) became the mother of Anne D' Orleans in 1464.1 Countess Marie (of Cleves) became a widow with the death of her husband, Prince Charles Valois (of France) on 4 January 1466 at Chcateau D'amboise, France, at age 74.1
