Joseph Doty

Joseph Doty was born on 30 April 1651 in Plymouth, (now Plymouth County), New Plymouth Colony.¹ He was the son of Pilgrim Edward Doty and Faith Clarke. Joseph Doty married first Deborah Ellis, daughter of John Elis and Elizabeth Freeman, Mid Summer 1674 in Sandwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.^2,1 Joseph Doty married second Sarah Woodin, daughter of John Woodin and Mary Johnson, on 5 March 1711/12.² Joseph Doty died about 1732 in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.¹ He is also reported to have died on 2 November in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.³

Doty(?) after 27 October 1674.² Joseph Doty became the father of Ellis Doty on 16 April 1677.¹ Joseph Doty became the father of Elizabeth Doty about 1680.¹ Joseph Doty became the father of Joseph Doty on 31 March 1683.¹ Joseph Doty became the father of Deborah Doty on 31 March 1685.¹ Joseph Doty became the father of John Doty on 1 March 1687/88.¹ Joseph Doty became the father of Marcy Doty on 12 January 1690/91.¹ Joseph Doty became the father of Faith Doty on 18 January 1695/96.¹ Joseph Doty became the father of Mary Doty on 28 July 1699.¹ Joseph's daughter was married at wedding of Elizabeth Doty and John Lewis on 28 February 1705/6 in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.³ Joseph Doty became a widower with the death of his wife, Deborah Ellis on 21 June 1711 in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.¹
