David Shearman Taber I was born on 30 July 1840 in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts.2 He was the son of William Congdon Taber and Hannah Tucker Shearman.2 David Shearman Taber I married Elizabeth Underhill Wood, daughter of William Wood and Mary Sutton Underhill, on 21 October 1869 at the home of William Wood Manhattan, New York City, New York.4,5 David Shearman Taber I died on 31 December 1914 in New York City, New York, at age 74 survived by Elizabeth Underhill Wood.6,2 David Shearman Taber I was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx County, New Youk City, New York.6
