Duke Johann III (of Kleve Julich) was born on 10 November 1490 in Waldeck, Waldeck, Germany.1 He was the son of Duke Johann II (of Kleve) and Princess Matilde (of Hesse).1 Duke Johann III (of Kleve Julich) married Princess Marie (of Julich), daughter of Duke Wilhelm III (of Julich) and Sibylle Margravine (of Brandenburg).1 Duke Johann III (of Kleve Julich) died on 6 February 1539 at age 48.1
Johann III's mother Princess Matilde (of Hesse) died on 19 February 1505.1 Duke Johann III (of Kleve Julich) became the father of Princess Sibylle (of Julich Cleve Berg) on 17 July 1512.1 Duke Johann III (of Kleve Julich) became the father of Princess Anna (of Cleves) on 22 September 1515.1 Duke Johann III (of Kleve Julich) became the father of Duke Wilhelm IV (of Julich Kleve) on 28 July 1516.1 Johann III's father Duke Johann II (of Kleve) died on 15 March 1521.1
