Vice President Charles Gate Dawes was born on 27 August 1865 in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio.1 He married Caro Dana Blymer, daughter of William Henry Blymer and Caroline Lucy Fearing, on 24 January 1889 in Cincinnati, Ohio.1 Vice President Charles Gate Dawes died on 23 April 1951 in Evanston, Illinois, at age 85.1
He became Vice President of the United States under President Calvin John Coolidge on 4 March 1925.
Vice President Charles Gate Dawes was replaced as Vice President of the United States by Vice President Charles Curtis on 4 March 1929.
