Thomas Lincoln was born on 6 January 1778 in Augusta County, Virginia.1 He was the son of Abraham Lincoln and Bathsheba Herring.1 Thomas Lincoln married Nancy Hanks, daughter of James (or Abraham) Hanks and Lucy Shipley, on 12 June 1806 in Washington County, Kentucky.1 Thomas Lincoln died on 17 January 1851 in Farmington, Illinois, at age 73.1
