Count Dedo V in the Groitzsch-Rochlitz was born in 1142.1 He was the son of Count Konrad in the Groitzsch-Rochlitz and Luitgard von Ravenstein.1 Count Dedo V in the Groitzsch-Rochlitz married Mathilde von Heinsberg, daughter of Lord Goswin II of Heinsberg and Aleidis von Sommerschenburg, before 1160.1 Count Dedo V in the Groitzsch-Rochlitz died on 16 August 1190.1
Dedo V's mother Luitgard von Ravenstein died on 19 June 1145 Monastery of Gerbstedt.1 Dedo V's father Count Konrad in the Groitzsch-Rochlitz died on 5 February 1157.1 Dedo V's daughter was married at wedding of Agnes von Groitzsch-Rochlitz and Count Berthold VI of Andechs in 1170.1 Count Dedo V in the Groitzsch-Rochlitz became a widower with the death of his wife, Mathilde von Heinsberg on 10 January 1189.1
