Queen Ealhswith (Alswitha) (of Mercia) was born about 852 in Mercia, England.1 She was the daughter of Etherlred Mucel (Ealdorman of Gainas) (?) and Eadburh Fadburn.2 Queen Ealhswith (Alswitha) (of Mercia) married King Alfred 'The Great' (of England), son of King Æthelwulf (of Wessex) and Osburga (?), in 868.1 Queen Ealhswith (Alswitha) (of Mercia) died in 904 in England.1 She is also reported to have died on 5 December 905.2
