Elpaal (1 Chron 8:8-13) was the son of Shaharaim (1 Chron 8:8-11) and Hushim (1 Chron 8:8-11).1
Elpaal (1 Chron 8:8-13) and Elpaal (1 Chron 8:17-18), son of Tribe of Benjamin, were possibly the same person The seperate lists would imply different people, but then the second Elpaal has no connection into the line being described.
