    Specialist Four Troy Alexander Galyan was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SP4 Galyan served our country until November 20th, 1967 in Quang Ngai, South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was not married. It was reported that Troy died from multiple fragmentation wounds from a mine. His body was recovered. SP4 Galyan is on panel 30E, line 039 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.
    He was the son of Mrs Martha C Galyan, 601 Harris Street NW, Concord, NC.
    He served with Alpha Battery, 3rd Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment, 173rdAirborne Brigade, USARV. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, the Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
