Nov 18, 1937 Mrs. Ellen McCarty Kent, widow of Peter Kent, died Wednesday evening at her home, 40 Burt Avenue. Mrs. Kent was ill only two days. She was born July 22, 1854, in Longford, Ireland, coming to this country 6-4 years ago. Mrs. Kent had resided in this city for the past 20 years, moving here from Montezuma. She was a member of the First M. E. Church of this city. Surviving are four sons. George Kent of Skaneateles, Thomas Kent of Auburn, Charles Kent of Sennett and William Kent of Montezuma, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services in charge of Langham's Funeral Service will be conducted at he home. 40 Burt Avenue at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by Rev. Harold W. Stearns, pastor if the First M. E. Church, and Rev. Walter S. Tildesley ot Syracuse. Burial will be In Throopsville Cemetery.
