Leslie, died in 1962, was post master of Montezuma for 15 years prior to her itMircment in 1965. She and her husband also operated a general store for 40 years. Born Aug. 16. 1898, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of John and Mary (Herroldt Thurston. Besides her daughter, surviv-ors include a son, Leon Jones of Montezuma, two sisters and six brother.

[S1064] White Chapel Funeral Home online, online , MONTEZUMA | Carl Leon Jones, 63, of High Street, Montezuma, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at his home with his loving family by his side. Carl was born in Seneca Falls on Sept. 25, 1950, the son of the late Leon and Leona Bartlett Jones. He retired from ADM in Montezuma where he worked as an electrician. Carl was an avid hunter and a member of the Weedsport Rod and Gun Club. He was a big fan of NASCAR. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grand kids. He spent his summers on Cayuga Lake enjoying the beautiful sunsets, fishing, and boating. He truly loved being outside.
He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 38 years, Deborah Blaisdell Jones; his four daughters, Amy Jones (Greg) Church, Katherine (Jessie) Wise, Candance (Shannon) Reeves, and Rebecca (Fred) Denny; his grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Scott, Kyle, Sydney, Kaleb, and Nicholas; his great-granddaughter, Kaylee; his sisters, Donna Donovan and Mary Jones; his aunt and uncle, Sharon and Carter, and a special niece, Karen.
In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his grandson, Matthew Gregory Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedport. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
