Wife of Daniel H. LaDue.
A tribute to Nancy LaDue from her grandchildren:
---Savannah, NY Times Newspaper---
~~Death of Mrs. Nancy LaDue~~
Mrs. Nancy LaDue departed this life, Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 4, 1908 at 2:20 p.m. She leaves besides one brother, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law and ten grandchildren. For four weeks, the loved ones remained at her side, expecting the end of time. Everything was done that willing hands and feet could do to ease her last moments. She loved to do for each one of us and was a mother and grandmother to us all.
One more chair is vacant, one more person is gone. God has come and taken grandma to her home.
We shall all miss her in our earthly homes, but she has gained where we have lost, so we cannot repine.
Our loving hands have done the work of laying her dear body out. Our tears, our sighs, our grief, our cries, come from our broken hearts.
For twenty years she suffered here, such pain and agony. She called on God to bless us all, and keep us from all harm.
She reached the land where Ida(her dau.) went, and where she wanted to go. And now we say with tear-dimmed eyes, Dear Lord, please come take us too.
