Note. NB I note that many researchers have stated that the parents of this "John" are Patrick English and Mary Heron. I have found no evidence for this speculation.

In fact, I think a more likely possibility for the birth and baptism of Johannes English who married Bridget Troy is this :-

1812 •
Baptism Date: • 30 Jan 1812
Baptism Place: • St Mary's, Clonmel, Waterford and Tipperary, Ireland
Parish Variants: • St. Mary's, Clonmel
Diocese: • Waterford and Lismore
Father: • Georges English
Mother: • Margarita Smith

Further, convention might suggest that some parents might name the first son after their own father - in this case, one might expect the first sone to be named "Michael". However, again this is speculation - and until I have some evidence, I am not prepared to accept that Patrick English & Mary Heron are the parents of Johannes English (c. 1815-1867).
Reference NumberJohannes English had reference number 23010.
BirthHe was born about 1815 in Co Waterford, Ireland.
MarriageHe married Brigida Troy before 1845 in St. Mary's, Dungarvan, Waterford, Ireland, I am using the baptism of son Johannes on 23 February 1850 for evidence of parentage ... I believe it reads "Johannes ... son of Johannes English and Brigida Troy". This is my interpretation of the handwriting - if you think it may be different, please let me know.

I can find no evidence of a marriage ceremony here.
.
His son Michael English was born in 1845 in County Waterford, Ireland.
His son Johannes ("John English") English was born about April 1850 in Waterford, Ireland.
His son Patrick English was born about 1857.
DeathJohannes English died on 17 August 1867 at some kind of institution - maybe a hospital, jail or some other place., in Dungarvan, Waterford, Ireland.
His wife Brigida Troy died on 25 September 1871.
